Abstract
As it has been shown in a number of reports, extremely-low-frequency (ELF) electromagnetic field (EMF) can induce different changes in various biological systems, even if its intensity is comparable to the level of thermal noise. According to the parameters of generated field variable results have been obtained, including these regarding cell proliferation. Simultaneously it has also been demonstrated that living organisms and their isolated components, like cells and tissues, are source of a highly coherent but very weak radiation, ranging from sub-Hz frequencies up to UV. In this report we inform that transformation of endogenous low-frequency (LF) EMF may influence growth and metastatic ability of Morris tumor (transplantable hepatoma). For experimental purposes bioelectronic LF wave modulator has been applied (range: 10Hz-150kHz). Two modulation parameters have been selected with a homogeneous fresh tumor tissue as a source and a target. After routine implantation of tumor pulp significant growth rate difference has been observed between control and experimental groups. This result may give support to the hypothesis of resonance response in a tumor tissue.
